Please read carefully the information below regarding the artwork, deadlines, fees, submission of works and return transport etc. You will find answers to common questions under the “Questions and Answers” section of the menu. When you are ready to apply, click on the red button “Click to open Application Form”. Fill in all of the required information and then submit.

Your artworks:

You must submit 5 artworks of which 1 must be approved by the jury in order to be included in the exhibition. Only digital images of your artwork will be accepted. We do not accept original artwork for judging. The entire work of art must be visible and the image quality and size should accurately depict the artwork so that it can be judged without difficulty. If the image is of poor quality, the artwork may be rejected.

Your artworks must not be older than 3 years and cannot have been previously exhibited in Skåne, Sweden.

Digital artworks (CD/DVD) must be submitted in exhibition quality. Please make sure that the file works on the computer (Mac and PC) and standard DVD player. Non-working CD/ DVDs will be disqualified. The maximum playing time for an artwork is 8 min. Please make sure to include the playing time of your work.

Applicants that have not paid the application-/judging fee will be rejected.

Please note we will not return any digital media after submission.

Judging and Accepted Artworks:

The applicants will be notified of the jury’s decision on September 6, 2017 by email. You can also find the names of the artists accepted to the exhibition at The jury’s decision is final and cannot be appealed.

Submission of the original artworks is on Tuesday, October 17th and Wednesday, October 18th from 10:00 – 15:00 at Dunkers kulturhus. You will receive more detailed information in your acceptance letter. All submitted works must be for sale and signed by the artist with their name and year. On the back, please write the artwork’s title and number. Please note: submitted works must be completely dry. Please email information about you and your work, max an A4 Word document. This information will be placed in a folder in the exhibition.

If the original artwork differs greatly from the submitted digital images in color and quality, Helsingborg’s Art Association reserves the right to remove the original artwork from the exhibition.

All artists admitted to the exhibition will receive a certificate of participation. All works are insured during the exhibition period. All accepted works must be for sale and cannot be removed during the exhibition period. Helsingborg’s Art Association takes a 25% commission on all of the artworks sold.

Return Transport of Unsold Artwork:

You must pick-up your unsold artwork on February 20th – 21rd, 2018, from 11:00 – 18:00 at Dunkers kulturhus. Please note that you as the artist are responsible for the drop-off and pick-up of your artwork as well as all transport to and from the exhibition. You are also responsible for all transport costs for your artwork. Artworks that are not picked-up by January 23rd will not be stored and risk being discarded.
